Small Celebrations

So it's Friday and that means it's time for VikLit's Celebrate The Small Things where participants blog about something they wish to celebrate from the past week. It can be related to anything you want—writing, reading, eating, sleeping, whatever. Click on the above link or the pic to the left for a complete list of participants (65, as of the writing of this post).

Anyway, here's what's made my list this week:

—The wonderful support I received from an amazing online writing community this past IWSG Wednesday. Lots of wisdom and encouragement was offered, and I truly appreciate it. Thank you, all.

—Also on the writing front, I had six scenes across three chapters in Second Nature that I wanted to finish this week, and I have since completed four of them. The fifth one was very nearly done, but it took a weird and unexpected detour at the last minute (which I simultaneously love and hate) so now I'm stuck in the weeds trying to work my way back out. Which is great because I love having to bushwhack my way through my own book. (Yeah, that's a little sarcastic. But only a little.)

—The Red Sox have been playing very well lately. Their lead in the AL East is now 6 games. Woot! This week they also have played some exciting games...most recently a huge blowout over Detroit (final score 20-4), and a extra innings win last night over the Yankees.

—The Patriots are playing their first regular season game this Sunday. I am one of those crazy passionate fans who yells a lot at the television when her team is playing. Which is why a friend of mine recently posted this on my Facebook page:

She knows me so well.

Anyway, that's going to do it for me today. What are you celebrating this week?

Thanks for stopping by, and have a great weekend.
