Celebrating The Small Things

It's Friday. For me, it's been one of those weeks where I can't believe it's already Friday, and I kind of wish it was only Wednesday because I have SO MUCH TO DO and I am SO VERY FAR BEHIND with it all. I'm not sure I will EVER CATCH UP.

But I'm taking some time out of all-caps yelling and spinning my wheels to take part in today's bloghop.

Celebrate The Small Things is a weekly bloghop hosted by VikLit that asks participants to celebrate the happenings from the past week—no matter how minor. For a complete list of participants, please click on the link above or the badge to the left.

Here are my celebrations this week:

—My lilacs bloomed!

The opposite of dead. At least for now.

All right, so it was just that one plant that only partially bloomed, but hey, that's one plant more than I've ever had partially bloom before. I'm feeling pretty proud of myself for not killing them. Yes, my gardening bar is that exactly that low.

—The Gator Girl turned nine years old. She celebrated by destroying her brand new "Oh-yeah-this-is-real-durable" ball in record time.

Look, mom! I made you a bowl!

—Thursday was spent having some quality time with some of my family. I allowed a six-year old to paint my toenails and now fear there isn't enough nail polish remover in the world to correct that decision. My niece, the Angel Child, painted my fingernails blue and pink and then proceeded to provide me with some very cool leg art:

Right leg received a lovely sunflower.
If you look closely, you'll see a little
butterfly on the right.

My left leg is currently host to a
Vampire Pickle Person.
Next time, I have requested a unicorn along with a sword-wielding warrior princess. The Angel Child has told me she would see what she could do.

—And last, but certainly not least, I am having my very first cover reveal next week, and I am celebrating the wonderful group of people who were able to help me out with this. I know I've said THANK YOU so much that is doesn't even seem like a real phrase anymore, but I am so grateful to each and every one of you! Also, on a possibly interesting side note, I'm not nearly terrified about this event as I thought I would be. Maybe the rest of the terror will show up after the weekend, but it's absent at the moment—probably because of how wonderful you all are.

And on that note, I am out of here. Thanks for stopping by today, and I hope y'all have a fantastic weekend.
